How we classify the conditions military surplus or used Gear on this website.

New: unused item from the factory. Often, but not always, in its original packaging. Shows no signs of wear
Unissued: never used but, may have been in storage for a long time
Super Grade: Very good condition but, shows light sign of use
Grade 1: used and showing signs of use but, in good condition
Original: used item which we have not processed - so will have possible damage, marks, stains or other signs of wear
Serviceable: item will have possible marks, stains, or other age-related signs of use, but will still be perfectly good to use
Repaired: items which have had professional work done to ensure they are perfectly serviceable. This work may be visible
